Space Cadets Walkthrough And Review

Space Cadets is a fun and frantic cooperative game for 3-6 players who take on the roles of Bridge Officers of a Starship. Each officer must accomplish his specific task in order for the team to successfully complete the mission. You might be the...Helmsman, plotting the ship's course through asteroid fields and nebulae. Engineer, using dominoes to get enough power to each system. Weapons Officer, completing puzzles to load the torpedoes and flicking a disc down a track to launch them. Shield Officer, using tiles to form poker hands to get the strongest shields. Sensor Officer, using your sense of touch to scan and lock on enemy targets. Captain, setting the plan and making sure that everyone stays focused and does their job. If your crew can work together to accomplish the mission goals, you just might make it home in one piece.

A Look Back at Elder Sign and Legend of Drizzt

As we look back a year ago we find our reviews of both Elder Sign and Legend of Drizzt. Tony as usual is his dour self when reminiscing about these games. He has no desire to play either one again. But this time, he's spot on with everyone else for at least one of the games. Not a single one among the lot of us has a desire to break Legend of Drizzt out again. Chris, on the other hand, absolutely loves Elder Sign and wants to break it out more often. Both Jamie and Brian are on the fence about Elder Sign. It's a game they enjoy playing, but as Tony said, it doesn't rise above the rest.

A Look Back at 2012 and our 2013 Gaming Resolutions

The past year has brought a lot of changes to the group, from what types of games we play and who we play with to what our gaming time is like and how that impacts our game choices. We reminisce about the past year and then follow that up with a discussion on what we'd like to do for 2013. We focus on the types of games we're going to try to bring to the table with friends and family, the various conventions we plan to attend, tabletop and miniature wargaming that we'd like to do, and the remote gaming we want to take part of. Too many games, not enough time! And for 2013 we're going to try to squeeze every ounce of gaming time out of the year to enjoy the hobby that we all love.
